Title: Jesus Christ gives you a well of water springing into eternal life.
“And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live:
and there shall be a very great multitude of fish,
because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed;
and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.” Ezekiel 47:9 KJV.
“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying,
If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said,
out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-38 KJV.
“Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst;
but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 4:13-14 KJV
Point of Reflection:
When you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, He promises to fill you with His Holy Spirit.
When that happens out of your belly will flow rivers of living waters.
This speaks of the joy, peace, assurance and well-being
that the Holy Spirit will make you to experience.
The Holy Spirit will give you an inner witness that you are a child of God,
that your sins are forgiven, that you have received eternal life.
The Holy Spirit is a giver of hope.
Romans 8:16 tells us that the Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit,
that we are the children of God. (KJV).
The Holy Spirit in us therefore tells we are God's children.
It gives us a witness to our redemption and adoption as sons of God. See also Romans 8:15.
The Holy Spirit drives out fear and gives us boldness to witness Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:8).
The Holy Spirit is like a river which wherever it flows and whatever it touches will live.
He is a life giving Spirit.
He makes our lives to be productive and to bear fruit for God.
He convicts people of sin and gives unbelievers consciousness about the judgement of God
that awaits rebellion against God and unbelief
and consciousness of the righteousness of God. (John 16:8-10).
When you are ready-
Prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ, I thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit which you give to those who believe in you.
I believe that you are Lord of my life and that God raised you from the dead on third day.
I set myself apart and consecrate myself for you.
I reject every working of the enemy satan and his demonsin my life
and declare you have nothing in me and I have nothing in you.
I ask you Lord Jesus Christ to fill me with the Holy Spirit right now.
I receive an abundant outpouring of your Holy Spirit upon my life. In Jesus Christ's name I pray. Amen.
