Title: You are witnesses to these things.
“Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of these things.”Luke 24:46-48 NKJV
Jesus Christ said to His disciples, they were witnesses to His suffering, death and resurrection as well as to the things He did, the miracles He performed and the things He taught. A witness needs to have seen, heard and experienced the things he/she is called upon to testify on. That is why the word of God further teaches us in 1John 1: 1-3 NKJV “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.”
Point of reflection:
To be a witness you of necessity needs to have seen with your own eyes, heard with your own ears, handled with your own hands, experienced within your own heart- concerning the Word of life, Jesus Christ. To be an effective witness you need to seek to experience God for yourself. Look at men in the Word of God like Stephen (Acts 6:8-15, Acts 7), Philip (Acts 8:4-40), Apostle Paul and others. They had experienced God for themselves and that made them effective witnesses of Jesus Christ. For you to become an effective witness of Jesus Christ, you need to be filled with the Holy Spirit, know the word of God and put it into practice in a prayerful way. As you combine those three, you experience God and will be able to be an effective witness of Jesus Christ.

Prayer of consecration:
My Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for sending Jesus Christ to suffer for our sin, to die and rise again on the third day. I acknowledge the risen Jesus Christ in my life from today. I reject every working of the enemy satan and his demons upon my life. I ask you Father in the name of Jesus Christ to fill me with your Holy Spirit right now. I commit myself to your word and to experiencing your grace and goodness upon my life. In Jesus Christ's name I pray. Amen.
