Title: Seek the will of God in Jesus Christ
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”Matthew 7:21 NKJV.
The will of God for you defines God's purpose and God's plan for you. It is His supreme rule of duty for your life. Doing the will of God is a critical component of being a child of God and a disciple of Jesus Christ. That is why His word says in 2 Corinthians 5:15 NKJV "And He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.” Even Jesus Christ at the critical moment prayed "Not my will but your will be done". (Matthew 26:39).
Point of reflection:
It is important for you to know that the will of God for you is the path to your best in everything. In every important decision you make therefore seek the will of God. He knows every heart, He knows the future and He even knows you more than you know yourself. Things are not always what they appear to be. Sometimes the will of God does not appear comfortable for a season. Follow His word and the voice of the Holy Spirit. He says "My sheep hear My voice, I know them and they follow me" (John 10:27). The voice of God is louder than the voice of men and is unmistakable. Do you desire to do the will of God? You need to cry for His grace, His favour and His working upon your life. When you are ready-
Prayer of consecration:
Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for your faithfulness, your loving kindness which is better than life. Thank you for giving me Your Son Jesus Christ. I acknowledge the risen Jesus Christ as Lord of my life from today. I ask you Lord to have your way in my life. Let your will be done in all that I do. Thank you for the grace to obey you every day. Thank you for leading me by your word through your Holy Spirit in everything I do. I commit my life to you Lord. In Jesus Christ's name I pray. Amen.
