Title: Get it all.
“On that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, 'Ask! What shall I give you?' And Solomon said to God: 'You have shown great mercy to David my father, and have made me king in his place. Now, O LORD God, let Your promise to David my father be established, for You have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude. Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of Yours?'"II Chronicles 1:7-10 NKJV.
After Solomon had worshipped God with a thousand burnt offerings, God appeared to Solomon and gave Him an open cheque- Ask what do you want me to give you. The temptation would have been to go personal- and ask for good health, long life, life of his enemies and material wealth- a yacht in the Atlantic Ocean for example. Solomon did not falter- He understood God's agenda and purpose for His life- so He asked God for the tools he needed to accomplish God's purposes for His life on the earth.
Point of reflection:
Almighty God was so impressed with Solomon's selflessness, and his desire to accomplish God's mission on the earth. Notice how God responded in II Chronicles 1:11-12 NKJV: "Then God said to Solomon: 'Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life—but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king— wisdom and knowledge are granted to you; and I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings have had who were before you, nor shall any after you have the like.'"
Not only did God give Solomon wisdom and knowledge, but He also gave Him riches, wealth and honor such as no other king before him had nor any king after him. Glory to God. That is why Jesus Christ said in Matthew 6:33 NKJV "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
Do you desire to seek first His kingdom knowing all things shall be added to you? When you are ready-
Prayer of consecration:
Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus I thank you for your grace and mercy. Thank you for sending Jesus Christ to suffer and die to usher me into the kingdom of God. I open my heart and acknowledge the risen Jesus Christ as Lord of my life from today and Iwill live for you from today. I ask you Lord to open the eyes of my understanding so that I may know the hope of your calling. I embrace that calling Lord and I ask for your anointing and wisdom to accomplish it. In Jesus Christ's name I pray. Amen
