Title: It is the will of God in Jesus Christ that you be anchored on the word of God

““Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.”‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:24-25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ 
It is the will of God that your life be anchoredon the word of God. Jesus Christ said the person who hears His word and does what it says, is like a wise man who built his house upon a rock. When (not if) the rain, floods and winds blew and beat on the house, the house stood. The person who hears the word of God and does not do them  will be like a foolish person who built his house on sand and when the rain, floods and winds came- the storms of life came, the  house fell and great was its fall. Please notice the coming of the storm is a certainty. The storms of life come to all in one form or another, it is how we prepare for the storm which is critical.
Point of reflection: Why is the word of God so important? Jesus Christ said heaven and earth shall pass away but His word will never pass away (Matthew 24:35). He also said in Matthew 4:4 (NKJV): But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ‭‭It is therefore critical for the child of God to learn, understand scripture and memorise key portions of scripture. In learning scripture you need a positive receptive attitude. Your heart (mind, intellect, will, emotions and conscience) need to be good ground for the word of God. This means do not prejudge the word of God, have an open mind to it, allow it to renew your way of thinking, drink and feed on it as a new born baby feeds on milk. Learn the word of God knowing God loved and loves you in Jesus Christ and wishes the best for you. Know God is kind, righteous, just, holy and does not lie. Embrace His promises. When you learn the word of God in this way, it sinks deep in and explodes in you producing a spiritual substance called faith which you need to receive from God (Romans 10:17). We recommend begin by memorizing the following verses of scripture: John 3:16-17, John 3:36, 1 John 5:13, Romans 5:1, Romans 6:23, Romans 10:13, Titus 3:4, Ephesians 2:8-9, Acts 16:31.When you are ready-

Prayer of consecration:Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for sending Jesus Christ to suffer and die so that my sin be forgiven. I acknowledge the risen Jesus Christ as Lord of my life today. I thank you for saving me and giving me eternal life. I commit myself to studying your word with a receptive heart. I prepare my heart to be good ground for your word. In Jesus Christ's name I pray. Amen.
