“But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,”

It is the desire of Almighty God that Jesus Christ be revealed to you. The beginning point of that experience is being born again. That is why Jesus Christ said in John 3:3, 
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. And again in John 3:5-6:
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” KJV.

You need regeneration in your spirit, what is born of flesh is flesh but what is born of the Spirit is your spirit. The born again spirit can see and understand spiritual realities and perspectives. The word of God also says in 1 Peter 1:23 “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” KJV. 
In John 1:12 The word of Hod teaches us that as many as received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour to them God gave the power, right and privilege to be the children of  God and they became born, not of blood, not of flesh or of the will of man but became born of God or of the Spirit of God.

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

The word of God again in Titus says we were saved through regeneration of the Holy Spirit.
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬.
The first step towards revelation of Jesus Christ is being born again or being regenerated, being made alive again in your spirit (Ephesians 2:1). You become a new creature, (2 Corinthians 5:17) your spirit and the Spirit of the risen Jesus Christ combine to become one. You become the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ (2Corinthians 5:21), an heir of the Father and joint heir with Jesus Christ (Romans 8:17). Once that happens you need to continue to yearn for more and more revelation and understanding of Jesus Christ as you read the word of God, as you pray and as you consecrate that is set yourself apart to live for God. 

Prayer: Heavenly Father I thank you for sending Jesus Christ to die for me, to shed His own blood so that my sin may be forgiven. I believe that Jesus Christ rose again and is alive today. I acknowledge you Jesus Christ as Lord of my life. I ask you to come into my life by your Spirit, forgive my sin, make me a child of God and give me eternal life. 
From today I will live my life for you and ask you to continue revealing your nature to me. In Jesus Christ's name I pray. Amen.
