Title: Let Jesus Christ give you rest.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28‬ ‭KJV‬‬
The Lord wants to give you rest in your heart. His rest means peace, tranquillity and well being. His rest means refreshment and rejuvenation. It means calmness, quiet and serenity. Take your burdens and lay them on the cross.
He goes on to say: “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”

Yes, we all need His rest, His peace and calm- not temporary rest, but permanent rest peace and quiet.
Hence the Psalmist said :“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”

Point of reflection:
Thank the Lord for forgiveness of sin which leads you to receive His rest in your soul.
Ask yourself this: What burdens do I need to lay on His cross today?
Remember His burden is light and His yoke is easy.
Let His Holy Spirit bring to you His restful waters and experience His calm, quiet, tranquillity and serenity.
