The Lord rejoices over you as a bridegroom rejoices over a bride

The Lord rejoices over you as a bridegroom rejoices over a bride
This is your scripture for today, may it empower you. Please share widely and make someone's day.

“Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi–bah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married. For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭62:4-5‬ ‭KJV

When you turn to God and believe on the sacrifice made by the Lord Jesus Christ when He died and rose again, the word of God declares that you join God's own household. (Ephesians 2:19). It also says you receive the Spirit of adoption by which you cry "Abba Father". (Romans 8:15). You become an heir of God and joint heir with Christ. (Romans 8:17). No wonder the scriptures say "the Lord delights in you" and "as a bridegroom rejoices over the bride so shall thy God rejoice over thee". This scripture blew my mind as I started to imagine how a bridegroom rejoices and celebrates his bride. If that is how the Lord celebrates you your success, your victory, your health and well-being, your breakthroughs etc wow!

Remember this is in spite of all our failures, but because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. (2Corinthians 5:21), God rejoices and delights in you, He dances for you (that is what a bridegroom does in rejoicing over the bride).

Remember your spirit is complete in Christ, your spirit was perfected forever in Christ. (Hebrews 10:14). Our battle with sin is in our mind because Satan has no access to your born again spirit other than through your mind. One needs therefore to continually renew one's mind with the word of God, to continually re-align ourselves with Him by confessing our mistakes including even those we are not aware of, sins we may have committed unknowingly. 1John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." As we do that we boot out Satan from the foothold he will be trying to have over us. So remember you are the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ, you have been forever perfected in Jesus Christ, you are adopted to be a child of God in Christ, you are an heir of the Father and joint heir with Jesus Christ, God delights in you and He rejoices over you as a bridegroom rejoices over the bride (and I believe I have a very good idea of what that feels like!) Glory be to God!

 Point of reflection:

Thank God for what you have become in Christ.

Thank Him for giving you Jesus Christ. Confess any sin you may have committed, sins of commission, sins of omission (things you should have done but did not do), sins of thought and sins of speech. Remember we are saved by grace (a gift of God, an unmerited favour we received by activity on the side of God) through faith, not of ourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).
