Title: You need to conquer and subdue  substance.

“And Jesus answered and said,

Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house,

or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children,

or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,

But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time,

houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers,

and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.”Mark 10:29-30 KJV.

“Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

So shall thy barns be filled with plenty,

and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.”Proverbs 3:9-10 KJV.

“Give, and it shall be given unto you;

good measure, pressed down, and shaken together,

and running over, shall men give into your bosom.

For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”Luke 6:38 KJV.

Point of Reflection:

Giving opens the way for us to receive blessing both spiritual blessing and financial.

Giving of substance (money, goods, gifts etc) gives one dominion over substance.

It makes you to be able to use substance for the glory of God

and in obedience to Almighty God.

You need to train yourself to give in faith.

Giving helps you to conquer money, to break the power of money from being an object of idolatry

to being, as it should be, something which God gives us to serve Him with and to enjoy (1Timothy 6:17).

When you give to God in obedience to His word

it is a godly thing to expect to receive back multiplied.

Hence His word says in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 KJV:

 "But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly;

and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart,

so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”

Your giving need to be purposeful and prayerfully planned.

Remember that giving is not limited to substance-

when you offer anything that gives value to another person-to the work of God or to servants of God

it is giving- it could be time, service, love, attention, encouragement etc.

How you respond to giving opportunities in the service of God determines your  destiny.

This is a critical statement.

The earth is founded on the principle of seasons:

“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest,

and cold and heat, and summer and winter,

and day and night shall not cease.”Genesis 8:22 KJV.

There is a time to sow and a time to reap.

It is critical to understand the spiritual seasons as they unfold,

so that you make use of opportunities as they arise.

Every giving however has to be free will- never feel coerced to give.

Do not give grudgingly or of necessity (under pressure to meet a need),

but give purposefully, prayerfully and cheerfully.

Giving substance to the work of God is to do with being a faithful steward

and acknowledging Almighty God as your senior partner in every human endeavour.

Deuteronomy 8:18 says remember the Lord your God for it is He who gives you power to get wealth,

so that He may establish His covenant as it should be established in your day, in our day.

His word says:

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye,

always having all sufficiency in all things,

may abound to every good work:”2 Corinthians 9:8 KJV.

This is the promise to those who give.

You need to cherish opportunities to give to Almighty God,

to His work and to the servants of God

you have been appointed to minister to financially.

Pray about your giving  and let the Holy Spirit guide and direct your giving.

Your giving determines the level at which  you will be able to operate financially.

His word says in 2 Corinthians 8:9:

"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,

that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor,

that ye through His poverty might be rich."

Jesus Christ was never poor spiritually-

this scripture is referring to physical poverty and lack.

Your giving has to be free will, with correct understanding of scripture,

and of faith not under coercion, harassment or grudgingly.

Take some time to ask for the grace to understand giving and the wisdom for financial success.

When you are ready-

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I thank you for sending Jesus Christ to suffer and die for my redemption.

Today I acknowledge the risen Jesus Christ as Lord of my life.

I set myself apart and consecrate myself to serve you.

I reject, denounce and renounce every working, every influence and every deception

of the enemy satan and his demons in the name of Jesus Christ.

I ask you Father in the name of Jesus Christ to fill and empower me with your Holy Spirit right now.

I receive, accept and embrace the abundant outpouring of your Spirit upon my life in the name of Jesus Christ.

Thank you that Jesus Christ became poor,

so that through His poverty all my needs may be met.

I ask for the grace to honour you Father with my substance and the first fruit of my increase.

I pray for the grace and wisdom to be a faithful steward of substance you have entrusted to me.

I pray for your grace and your help in my giving to

support your servants and your work.

In Jesus Christ's name I pray. Amen.

With best wishes for the New Year 2020 and New Decade in which Almighty God is calling out a people who will be

a special treasure to Him (Exodus 19:4-5).

A people who have set themselves apart and consecrated themselves to become His portion and His inheritance (Deuteronomy 32:9).

A people who are vessels of honour in His house (2 Timothy 2:20-21).

For these people He promises to lead and guide them by His Holy Spirit as they accomplish His  purpose on the Earth,

to fight their wars and battles and to protect them from the attacks of the enemy.

These people join hands with Almighty God as they pray for salvation of souls,

as they witness the love of Jesus Christ and as they exercise faithful stewardship to make ready

a people prepared for the Lord (Luke 1:13-17).

We love you as we invite you to set yourself apart to become Almighty God's portion and inheritance in Jesus Christ.
