Title: You cannot do it on your own.
“For John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
And He said to them, 'It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you;
and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem,
and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.'”Acts 1:5, 7-8 NKJV.
Even after being with Jesus Christ for three and half years, the disciples of Jesus Christ remained fearful,
powerless, impotent, timid, weak, immature and carnally minded.
Remember Simon Peter denied Jesus Christ, not once, not twice but three times. Not only that- but he had been pre-warned.
Furthermore this was not before a Roman soldier but before a maid. Worse still- the Lord Jesus was only a few meters away and within ear-shot (Luke 22:56-62).
He was fearful, living behind locked doors for fear of Jews. One day it all changed.
Point of reflection:
What changed? Even Jesus Christ had told them not to leave Jerusalem until they were endured
or clothed with power from on high.
In Luke 24:48-49 the Lord Jesus Christ told the disciples: And you are witnesses to these things.
Behold I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem
until you are endured with power from on high." NKJV.
He said the same in Acts 1:4.
On the day of Pentecost, the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit and were transformed, everything changed.
The Holy Spirit is the Game Changer.
The disciples became bold, fearless, witnesses of Jesus Christ who demonstrated the power of God with undeniable miracles.
Even ordinary disciples like Stephen, Philip and others demonstrated the power of God after being filled with the Holy Spirit.
You need this power too.
Even Jesus Christ Himself only started preaching after being filled with the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 3:16-17 tells us: When He had been baptised, Jesus Christ came up immediately from the water;
and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting upon Him.
And suddenly a voice came from heaven saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."(NKJV).
Now if Jesus Christ the Son of God Himself needed to be filled with the Holy Spirit,
and His disciples also were told not to go preaching until they were filled with the Holy Spirit.
Simon Peter and the apostles had walked with Jesus Christ for three and half years, had seen the miracles,
the dead being raised, five thousand being fed, storms being calmed and you name it-
He denied Jesus Christ before a little girl and not only that but with Jesus Christ being within ear-shot,
Jesus Christ seeing him- a few metres away.
The same Simon Peter stood up and preached to thousands on the Day of Pentecost- fiery, bold,
demonstrating the power of God.
You need to have a passionate desire to be filled with the Holy Spirit. You need to thirst after the Holy Spirit as a deer pants for the water brooks (Psalms 42:1-2, Matthew 5:6).
His word says in Luke 11:11-13 NKJV:
"If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone?
Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish?
Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children,
how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
How much more will God give the Holy Spirit to those who ask? (Answer I believe- more than zillion times more.)
First you need to be born again by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ
and the work He did when He suffered and died for our redemption and rose again.
You also need to reject, renounce and denounce every working of the enemy satan and his demons upon your life.
Then ask for the Holy Spirit believing His promise- that He will give you a zillion times outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
Do you desire to be filled with the Holy Spirit?
When you are ready-
Prayer of consecration:
My Father in heaven in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you today for Jesus Christ,
that He died so that my sin may be forgiven.
Thank you that He rose again for my justification.
Today I acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord of my life. I reject, renounce and denounce you satan,
your demons and every manifestation of evil in the name of Jesus Christ and
I ask you Father in the name of Jesus Christ to fill me with your Holy Spirit, right now.
I receive the abundant outpouring of your Spirit upon my life right now in the name of Jesus Christ.
Thank you Father for hearing me.
In Jesus Christ name I pray. Amen.

Year in Focus
2026 The Year of Almighty God's Special Treasure
2026 is the year of Almighty God’s special treasure.
In this year, Almighty God wants you to engage with Him as a person after His own heart who desires to accomplish His purpose, plan and will.
A person who seeks the burden of Almighty God as you pray and intercede, as you witness the love of Jesus Christ through your various platforms
and as you exercise faithful stewardship of your time, of the mysteries of God entrusted to you and of substance.
His word tells us in Psalms 89:19-23:
'Then You spoke in a vision to Your holy one, and said: “I have given help to one who is mighty; I have exalted one chosen from the people.
20 I have found My servant, David; With My holy oil I have anointed him,
21 With whom My hand shall be established; also, My arm shall strengthen him.
22The enemy shall not outwit him, Nor the son of wickedness afflict him (NKJV).
23 I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague those who hate him.'
In 2026 there is help ordained for you from Almighty God. You have been waiting upon God with your heart focused on Him, on establishing His hand on Planet Earth.
Receive the help of God. Let the anointing of the Holy Spirit flow upon your life as you meditate on His word.
What you need to know:
Our Almighty God is a faithful God, that means He is trustworthy, He is dependable and follows things through.
His word tells us:
'He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.' I Thessalonians 5:24.
'Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.' Genesis 28:15 (NKJV).
'Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses. ' 1 Kings 8:56 (NKJV).
Remember:
'God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
20 Behold, I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it.' Numbers 23:19-20 (NKJV).
(see also Isaiah 46:9-11, Isaiah 14:24-27)
What you need to understand and have a revelation of:
There is in the calendar of God something called the fullness of time.
His word tells us:
'Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.'
Habakkuk 2:2-3 (NKJV).
Remember also:
'Now the sojourn of the children of Israel who lived in Egypt was four hundred and thirty years.
41And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years—on that very same day—it came to pass that all the armies of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt. 'Exodus 12:40-41 (NKJV).
In fact, it was precise to the second- at midnight, at the stroke of midnight first-borns were struck and Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron and said -Go and serve your God.
We read in Galatians 4:4-5:
'But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.' (NKJV).
In your life and in the Ministry, you need to wait upon Him, but while you wait be busy doing what needs to be done today.
What you need to do-
a) Keep your eyes on the word of God.
His word tells us:
'Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.' Colossians 3:16 (NKJV).
'Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.' John 8:31-32 (NKJV).
b) Be conscious of the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life.
We read in John 14:15-17 (AMPC):
' If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands.
16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever–
17 The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.'
c) Be in prayer.
His word teaches us:
'Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, ' Ephesians 6:18-19 (NKJV).
d) Remember your personal prayer agenda with God.
His word teaches us:
'Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”' Luke 18:6-8 (NKJV).
Psalms 91:15 tells us:
'He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.' (NKJV).
Almighty God has promised to answer you as you ask in the name of Jesus Christ.
Much grace and peace be multiplied to you.
In the service of Jesus Christ.
