Jesus Christ is your Captain, your victory is assured.

"And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho,

that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold,

there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand:

and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him,

Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? And he said,

Nay; but as captain of the host of the Lord am I now come.

And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him,

What saith my lord unto his servant?”Joshua 5:13-14 KJV.

Point of Reflection:

Joshua was about to encounter one of the biggest war battles of his carrier so far, the battle for Jericho.

Jesus appeared to Him with a drawn sword meaning ready to fight for God's people.

Joshua not knowing it was Jesus asked "Are you for us or against us?"

The answer He gave was revealing- I am neither for you nor against you -

but I am fighting for those fighting on the side of God.

When Joshua heard this he fell on his feet and worshipped Him and asked:

"What do you want me to do Lord?

So:

1. In all you do seek the will of God.

2. When you fight in His will you are fighting for Him- your battle becomes His.

3. The Captain Jesus Christ- El Gibor, Mighty warrior) appears before your situation with a drawn sword. (See also Isaiah 9:6)

4. You are assured of victory.

When you are ready-

Prayer:

In all I do Lord I seek your will, lead me, guide me Lord and direct my paths.

Fight my wars Lord. Amen.

Confession:

I am a child of God, washed clean by the blood of Jesus Christ and seeking His will in all I do.
