Title: Let Him be your defining attribute.

“And I will establish my covenant between me and thee

 and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant,

 to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. 

And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, 

the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan,

 for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”‭‭Genesis‬ ‭17:7-8‬ ‭KJV.

‬‬The Lord established a covenant (a special solemnly sworn contract, agreement) with you in Jesus Christ.

 One of the critical or cornerstone clause of this covenant God says "I will be to you God",

 that means He wants to be the defining attribute of your being, to be your all.

 To make you stand right with Him through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for you. 

To be your leader and guide, the giver of your total emotional and physical wellbeing,

 your ultimate source of your providence, peace and victory.

 The giver of your joy, vigour and umph.

 When these attributes abound in you,

they give you the confidence to face every situation.

 People around you will marvel

 "this person knows something we do not know,

 and has something we do not have".

 They will ask "Tell us what is it?

 You become a sign and wonder.

 Point of reflection:

Will you today begin on a journey with Jesus Christ?

 It begins by you acknowledging Him as Lord and Saviour.

 Jesus died and rose and is alive today.

Will you begin to search for His truth in His word

 to transform your mind and way of thinking?

Remember:He wants to be to you God.

Prayer of commitment:

Heavenly Father I thank you for Jesus Christ whom you sent to die for my sin 

and to usher me into a relationship with you.

 I acknowledge the risen Jesus Christ as Lord of my life today.

 Thank you Father for your salvation.

 Thank you Father for being to me God, 

for being my everything in Jesus Christ. In Jesus Christ's name I pray. Amen.
