Title: Sent to open eyes.

“But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose,

 to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen,

 and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, 

and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, 

and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”‭‭Acts‬ ‭26:16, 18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ or the too good to be true news of salvation through Jesus Christ. 

It is sent to open eyes, these are spiritual eyes.

Point of Reflection:

To open eyes to see what?

As one receives the good news of Jesus Christ, their spiritual eyes are opened to see the goodness of God.

 To see the love of God and to see the mercies of God. 

To see the value of eternal life and to see the life of God. 

To see darkness of satan and and turn away from it. 

To appreciate the light of God.

 To see the prison that satan subjects people to and get out of it.

 To see the bondage that satan and the liberty and true freedom given by Jesus Christ.

 To see the power of satan for what it is and see the power of God for what it is.

The opening of spiritual eyes is also called to receive revelation about things of God.

Most times people profess to be atheists, unbelievers etc- what is the problem- lack of sight, lack of revelation.

We have all been there, Saul of Tarsus was there too,

He was changed in a split second on the road to Damascus.

The irony is that he received spiritual sight but became physically blind for three days, wow.

I have been there too. 

John Wesley was there too.

Billy Graham was there as well.

Every single man of God in all history knows how terrible and devastating spiritual blindness can be.

It is amazing how God can hide a sky-scrapper right in the middle of the road.

You wont see it unless your eyes are opened.

Opening of eyes takes humility and seeking.

His word says you will seek for me and find me when you seek for me with all your heart.

Do you desire to have your spiritual  eyes opened?

Prayer for revelation:

Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for sending Jesus Christ to bring us

 the too good to be true news of redemption through His name. 

Today I open my heart to you Lord Jesus Christ and

 I acknowledge the risen Jesus Christ as Lord of my life.

 I set myself apart and consecrate myself for you. 

I reject, denounce and renounce the enemy satan and

 I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to let me go and serve God.

 I ask you Father in the name of Jesus Christ to fill me 

with your Holy Spirit right now in the name of Jesus Christ.

 I receive the abundant outpouring of your Holy Spirit right now in the name of Jesus Christ.

 Thank you Father for opening my eyes to see and for delivering me from darkness to light, 

from the power of satan to the power of God. 

Thank you for forgiveness of sin and for

 inheritance among those who are sanctified

by faith in Jesus Christ.In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

As you have prayed sincerely from your heart Almighty God,

 the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has heard you

. You are now a born again child of God, an adopted member of God's own household.

 You have been granted righteousness and right standing with God.
