Title: It is when you are little in your own eyes that the Almighty God of Jesus Christ want to raise you up so that the pre-eminence may be God's.
“So Samuel said, “When you were little in your own eyes, were you not head of the tribes of Israel? And did not the LORD anoint you king over Israel?
So Samuel said: “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.”
I Samuel 15:17, 22 NKJV
It is when you are little in your own eyes that the Almighty God will want to show His power to you and through you. You need to always cry for the grace to be obedient to His voice so that you can accomplish His will and purpose. Obedience to God is better than sacrificing. God knows the future we do not know, He knows the plans He has for us which have not yet been revealed to us. Always remain little in your own eyes, remain you, the human with human limitations so that in your eyes He remains God, Almighty, Omnipresent, Omnipotent knowing no impossibilities.
Point of reflection: We worship God because He is God, holy, just and does all things in righteousness. He is good to us all the time, He is faithful all the time, He is righteous all the time. He is raising you up for a purpose, His purpose. You need a revelation of that purpose so that you understand your part in bringing it to pass. When you are ready-
Prayer: My Father in heaven in the name of Jesus Christ I thank you for giving me access into your presence through the work accomplished by the risen Jesus Christ. I acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord of my life from today. I thank you for your grace for everyday of my life and for remembering me when I was little in my own eyes. I ask for the grace to always remain little in my own eyes so that in all that I do the pre-eminence may always remain yours Lord. In Jesus Christ's name I pray. Amen.
