“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
Proverbs 9:10 NKJV
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”
Romans 1:16-17 KJV
The word of God declares that godly wisdom is the principal thing. In all your acquisitions get understanding. It further declares that the beginning point of getting wisdom is in fearing God and that the beginning point in understanding is the knowledge of God. Nobody can know God unless God reveals Himself to them. That is why the word of God teaches us in Proverbs 2:6 "For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.” KJV.
When we know God in Jesus Christ, we are routed in the wisdom of God because Jesus Christ is made to us our wisdom from God. (1Corinthians 1:30).
Once you have known God, and have experienced the power of God through the gospel, you can share the good news of Jesus Christ to others. You can share boldly knowing the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and that fear of God brings you to the point where God Almighty reveals His nature to you and give you the knowledge of Himself. Once you have known the power of God, and have experienced salvation in Jesus Christ, you are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but before we know the power of God, we are ashamed because we no idea of the power of the person we are dealing with and His capabilities.
Fear God, that is the beginning of wisdom, He will then reveal Himself and give you knowledge of Himself, you will know and experience His power and His salvation. Glory be to God.
Prayer: My Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I ask you to reveal yourself to me, show me your salvation and your power. Give me the knowledge of God. Thank you that the gospel is your power unto salvation to all who believe. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood so that my sin may be forgiven. I believe the Jesus Christ rose again from the dead and is alive today. I ask you Lord Jesus Christ to forgive my sin and make me a child of God. Be my Lord from today. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
