Title: You need strength of conviction to release the power of God in Jesus Christ.
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Ephesians 6:10-12 KJV.
“Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

The word of God in Ephesians 6:10-12 teaches us that the life of a child of God is like a wrestling match, we are wrestling against spiritual forces of darkness. You therefore need to be fully aware of the rules of engagement. You need full armor of God described there- breastplate of righteousness, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, belt of truth, in your feet, preparedness to preach the gospel, ammunition ( grenade, machine gun, rocket launcher, precision laser guided nuclear missile) of the word of God. Over-arching this armour and making it effective is a critical ingredient called strength of conviction. Your breastplate or helmet may be made of thin steel easily broken through by enemy fire or made of lead or some other totally fire proof material- the difference is in your strength of conviction or degree of persuadedness. What made the difference for the woman healed by Jesus Christ who had an issue of blood for thirty-eight years, (Luke 8:43-48) for Jairus whose daughter was raised from the dead, Mark 5:35-43), for Daniel in the lions den, (Daniel 6:19-22), for Shadrack, Misheck and Abednigo in the burning furnace (Daniel 3:23-30) was strength of conviction.
How then does one get it? By consecrating, setting yourself apart for Jesus Christ, reading His word, meditating upon it and spending time with God in prayer. For they who upon the Lord shall renew their strength. (Isaiah 40: 28-31).
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you for salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you that I have victory through His name and that Satan was defeated publicly and openly on the cross. I set myself apart for you and for your purposes on the earth. I receive renewed strength from you Father as I wait upon you. I thank you for strength and courage and the assurance of your presence with me always. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
