Title: The desire of Almighty God in Jesus Christ is that you may be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
1 Timothy 2:1-4 KJV
It is the desire of God that you may be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. The truth is the word of God. (John 17:17) The truth of the word of God sets people, totally, entirely and completely free ( John 8:32). That freedom gives you back control of your destiny and victory over the enemy Satan. That freedom makes one to overcome bondage of every kind including bondage from substances, tobacco, alcohol, illicit drugs etc. It will also help you to change the character traits in you which you are struggling to change. That is why Jesus Christ said “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
John 8:36 KJV.
The beginning point is to come to a realization that you need a Saviour. That Savior is Jesus Christ who died for you, shed His own blood so that your sin may be forgiven.
In dying on the cross He conquered Satan on your behalf. (Colossians 2:15; 1John 3:8). On the third day, in the greatest show of force from heaven, Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, and conquered death on behalf of every person.
If you believe on Him, and confess Him as Lord of your life, He will change you on the inside, forgive your past mistakes, wash away all your sins and make you a child of God. You then need to embrace a process of transformation of your mind as you read and understand the word of God on a daily basis.
Prayer: Father in heaven, I thank you for sending Jesus Christ to die for me and to rise again, I confess Jesus Christ as Lord of my life from today. I believe that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead and is alive today. Thank you Lord for saving me and for making me a child of God. Amen.
