Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

It is the desire of God that we be ambassadors for Jesus Christ, His representatives on the earth. That is why His word says as Jesus Christ is right now, seated at the right hand of the Father, so are we to the world.
When we allow the light of Jesus Christ and the love of God to consume us, the love and the light of God will shine through us. For that to happen we need to die to self, we need to diminish so that Christ in us increases (John 3:30). His word also says “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;” Philippians‬ ‭3:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬. 
When we know Him and have fellowship with His sufferings, He also reveals His power to us, we die to self and His light, His love is manifested through us. We exude the life of God and His light shines through us. We are like a city on a hill which cannot be hidden, and like a candle on a candlestick which gives light to all in the house and the glory is given to God. There will be grace in the way we talk, and the manner we conduct ourselves, we will be filled with His love and goodness. We will be givers of hope, to those in despair, givers of encouragement to the discouraged and a breath of fresh air to those seeking meaning in life. Glory be to God. So child of God let Christ's light so shine through you, that men will see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Prayer: My Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for the privilege of being an ambassador of Jesus Christ and for the light of Jesus Christ in us. Give us the grace O Lord to let your light so shine that the world sees the good works you do through us and give all the glory to you. Amen.
