Title: Race with patience looking unto Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of your life.

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses,

let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with

patience the race that is set before us,

 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;

who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross,

 despising the shame,

and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬.

Point of Reflection:

There is a race you need to run, there are victories you need to win.

The race before you is yours to run and finish.

You are not competing with anyone, because your own race has components unique to you.

As you run this race look unto Jesus Christ the author of your race and of the story of your life.

The Holy Spirit (the Spirit of Jesus Christ) is your companion- speak to Him often

He is also the one who gives the grace  that enables you to get to the finishing line.

This scripture teaches us the important principles of this race.

1. Run it with patience.

In the age of instant coffee, instant tea

and microwave oven we sometimes want everything instant.

You need patience for this race as God often does not do things to your timings.

His timing is always best for you however.

 Hence Hebrews 10:36 tells us:

"For ye have need of patience, that,

after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” (KJV).

His word also says in Hebrews 6:12:

"That you be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises."

Remember also that the race is not for the swift nor the battle for the strong

but for those who use their time to take the chances placed before them. (Ecclesiastes 9:11).

‭‭When opportunities come your way, make full and maximum use of them.

2. Put away weights.

Imagine an athlete running with weights on his waist.

Weights are those destractors, wrong priorities,

the cares of this world, the desire for other things (see Mark 4:17-19)

but seek you first the kingdom of God and His righteousness

knowing all these other things shall be added to you. (Matthew 6:33).

Weights remove your focus from the important priorities and weigh you down

and stop you performing for God as you should.

3. Set yourself apart for Almighty God, consecrate yourself.

Looking unto Jesus Christ- the author and finisher of your faith- is setting yourself

apart for Him.
This is a decision followed by a declaration you make to God.

"I am yours Lord with all that I am and with all that I am not,

I give my life to you".

You also need to declare to the  enemy satan "I have nothing in you and you have nothing in me,

I reject you in the name of Jesus Christ because I know

you were defeated publicly on the cross by Jesus Christ

and you await your fate in the lake of fire for all eternity".

Talk to the Holy Spirit- I need you, be my Helper, my Strength,

my Wisdom, my Teacher and my Guide.

Consecration releases for you the grace you need to overcome sin.

4. Keep your eyes on the prize,

on the trophy, on the joy before you.

Keep your eyes on eternal life for you

and those who will believe through your witness.

Keep your eyes on the instructions you have been given, on the vision set before you.

Remember beyond the cross was the  joy of mission accomplished,

joy of you and me and billions of others going to heaven, the joy of your becoming

what Jesus Christ suffered that you may become, the victory over the enemy satan

and his demons, victory over disease and sickness (physical and mental),

victory over poverty and lack and victory over sin.

It was this joy that kept Jesus Christ going strong when things were hard.

For the joy that was set before Him, He endured the cross and despised the shame.

There is also a joy set before you and for that joy you can endure what you need to endure

and overcome what you need to overcome- to accomplish the mission before you.

 Glory to God!

Take some time to make declarations on the race set before you.

When you are ready-

Prayer of declaration:

Heavenly Father I thank you for Jesus Christ whom you sent to suffer and die for my redemption.

I acknowledge the risen Jesus Christ as Lord of my life today.

I set myself apart and consecrate myself for you.

I reject, denounce and renounce  every working, every influence and every deception

of the enemy satan and his demons in the name of Jesus Christ.

I ask you Father in the name of Jesus Christ to fill and empower me with your Holy Spirit

right now.

I receive the abundant outpouring of your Spirit upon my life in the name of Jesus Christ.

My Heavenly Father I thank you for Jesus Christ,

the Author and Finisher of my faith.

I pray for grace to run patiently and finish the race before me.

I put away every weight and consecrate myself to you

and to accomplish your purposes on the earth.

Thank you for the joy of mission accomplished.

In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

Year in Focus:

With best wishes for the Year 2024, the year in which the Lord God is visiting His restless ones with an anointing that breaks the yoke of bondage of the enemy.

There is a big financial dimension to the victory for the restless ones in 2024. The yoke of poverty and financial struggles is being broken.

a) Things you need to know:

The year in which the restless ones rise up with the zeal of Almighty God to cause the spreading of the cities of Almighty God through prosperity.

Almighty God says: proclaim saying 'Thus saith the Lord of Hosts: "Iam zealous for Jerusalem with great zeal."' Zechariah 1:14

He also says: 'Thus says the Lord, "I am returning to Jerusalem with mercy; My house shall be built in it," says the Lord of Hosts,

"And a surveyor's line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem."' Zechariah 1:16. See also Zechariah 8:1-5, 12-13, 15, 21 and 23.

He goes further to say: "Again proclaim, saying, 'Thus says the Lord of hosts: "My cities shall again spread out through prosperity;

The Lord will again comfort Zion, And will again choose Jerusalem."' Zechariah 1:17.

He says: "Take the silver and gold, make an elaborate crown, and set it on the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest." Zechariah 6:11.

Almighty God wants to put an elaborate crown of gold and silver upon your head.

b) What you need to do:

1. In 2023, take away your measuring line.

Do not limit what God can do for you and through you in the way you think, the way you speak and the way you act.

Do not limit the Holy One of Israel. ( Zechariah 1:1-5 )

In Psalms 78:41: His word says:Yes, again and again they tempted God,
And limited the Holy One of Israel.

Remember also Ephesians 3:20 says: He is able to do exceedingly abundantly, above all we think and ask, by the power at work within us.

2. Call with a strong conviction on the Almighty God for whom all things are possible, for whom nothing shall be impossible.

Remember His waord says in Genesis 18:10-14:

10 And He said, “I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son.”
(Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him.)

11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing.

12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, “After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?”
13 And the LORD said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?’

14 Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”

See also Jeremiah 32:17-22, Jeremiah 32:26-27.

In Luke 1:34-38 we read:

34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?”
35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you;

therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

36 Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren.

37 For with God nothing will be impossible.”
38 Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

See also Mark 10;27 and Matthew 19:26.

Remember the Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you- to make the will of Almighty God happen in your life and in the work of the Ministry.

In Jeremiah 32:19 -21 we read that our Almighty God is great in counsel and mighty in deeds and that He brought out His people Israel from the land of Egypt with signs and wonders,

with a strong hand, and an outstretched arm and with great terror and He gave them the land that flows with milk and honey- they came in and took possession of it.

Let Him give you His counsel, let Him show you His signs and wonders, go in and take possession.

c) What you need to understand (have a revelation of):

You need to understand the following things:

1. There is in the calendar of God something called the fullness of time.

In Genesis 21:1-2 we read: 1 And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had spoken.

2 For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

2. Almighty God fulfils His promises.

In Numbers 23:19-20 we read:

19 God is not a man, that He should lie,
Nor a son of man, that He should repent.
Has He said, and will He not do?
Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
20 Behold, I have received a command to bless;
He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it.

In  Isaiah 46:9-11 we read:

9 Remember the former things of old,
For I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like Me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things that are not yet done,
Saying, My counsel shall stand,
And I will do all My pleasure,’
11 Calling a bird of prey from the east,
The man who executes My counsel, from a far country.
Indeed I have spoken it;
I will also bring it to pass.
I have purposed it;
I will also do it.

3. It has been done before-

Remember in her restlessness Rachael cried: Give me children or else I die (Genesis 30:1). God answered her prayer and she bore Joseph, who subsequently received

the portion of the first born of Israel.

In her restlessness, Hannah prayed for a male child and pledged to give him to the Lord all the days of her life. God answered her prayer and she bore Samuel,

a mighty prophet of God who was also a judge of Israel. (1 Samuel 1:11).

In her restlessness Mary Magdalene sought to find where they had laid the body of the Lord Jesus Christ and she refused to be comforted.

The Lord Jesus had to make an unscheduled visit to the tomb while on His way to the Father. The Lord Jesus Christ had to appear to Mary. (John 20:11-18).

We love you and continue to pray for you as you set yourself apart and consecrate yourself for the purposes of Almighty God on the Earth in our day.
