Title: Who do you need to forgive?
“And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses,
neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Matthew 6:12-15 KJV.
Point of Reflection:
Bitterness, resentment and un-forgiveness for wrongs done against us
can be a serious hindrance to the working of God in your life.
It is critical to periodically examine yourself and ask oneself:
Who do I need to forgive?
Who do I resent?
Whom am I bitter against?
When we are in the state of un-forgiveness all our debts to God are due.
This will hinder your prayers from being answered,
will hinder spiritual growth, hinders spiritual warfare.
It will also hinder you from experiencing the presence of God.
It hinders you from experiencing His joy, His peace and His victories.
It hinders you from hearing the voice of God
and having a victorious life as a child of God.
Forgiveness on the other hand brings you healing from the wounds of the past.
In Matthew 18: 23-35 the Lord Jesus Christ gave a parable of a servant
who owed his master ten thousand talents, as he could not pay,
he begged his master to forgive his debt, which he did.
The same servant went and found a fellow servant who owed him one hundred cents.
When he could not pay, he went and threw him in prison.
When the master heard what the servant had done,
he was angry and threw him to tormentors until he had paid all that was due.
The Lord Jesus completed this parable saying in verse 35:
"So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you,
if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.” Matthew 18:35 KJV.
Forgiving those who trespass against us is therefore mandatory
to the child of God because we also have been forgiven.
Forgiving by its very nature is painful.
Being wronged is the same as being owed a debt.
Forgiveness is letting go of the debt someone owes you.
You owed God a much bigger debt, but He forgave you in Jesus Christ.
You have been set completely free,
set those who owe you also -completely free.
Yes- let them go.
It needs to be done knowing it is a requirement for our own forgiveness.
It is our choice and an act of the will.
When you forgive you choose to let go, unconditionally.
When you are ready-
Prayer of celebrating your forgiveness and making a commitment to forgive:
Heavenly Father, thank you for sending Jesus Christ to die and shed His blood so that all my sin may be forgiven.
Today I acknowledge the risen Jesus Christ as Lord of my life.
I set myself apart and consecrate myself for you.
I reject, renounce and denounce every working, every influence and every deception
of the enemy satan and his demons.
I have nothing in you and you have nothing in me- I was redeemed through the blood of Jesus Christ.
I ask you Father to fill and empower me with your Holy Spirit right now in the name of Jesus Christ.
I receive the abundant outpouring of your Spirit upon my life in the name of Jesus Christ.
Today I celebrate freedom from sin and guilt through the forgiveness I received in Jesus Christ.
Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for forgiving my sin through the blood you shed on the cross.
Today I forgive all who have transgressed against me from my heart.
I release all bitterness and resentment.
I set them completely free in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Year in Focus:
2025 The Year of the Overcomer.
His word says in 1 John 2:12-14:I write to you, little children,
Because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake.
13 I write to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the wicked one.
I write to you, little children, because you have known the Father.
14 I have written to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning.
I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you,
And you have overcome the wicked one.
To overcome the wicked one you need the word of God to dwell in you richly, you need to know Him who
was from the beginning (to know God) and you need strong conviction regarding His promises to you. These are the three critical attributes of an overcomer.
He also says: Look among the nations and watch—Be utterly astounded!
For I will work a work in your days, which you would not believe, though it were told you (Habakkuk 1:5).
Almighty God wants to work a work in our day, in your day, in the work of the Ministry and in your own life,
which you will not believe even if it is told you. For you to be a part of what He is doing, you need to acquire and grow in the three critical attributes of an overcomer.
He says further:
Then the Lord answered me and said:
“Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:2-3).
He says write the vision and make it plain upon tables that he may run who reads it.
As you enter another phase in your walk with God and as we enter a new phase in our calling as Planet Ministries, remember the vision is for an appointed time.
That time is nigh. Wait for it, it will not be late by one second. Remember Genesis 18:10-14; Genesis 21: 1-2 and Exodus 12:40-41.
a) What you need to know:
We are moving into a period of accomplishing the vision which Almighty God has set before us.
There is in the calendar of God something called the fullness of time.
The vision is for an appointed time and that time is nigh.
You need the knowledge of the Father and His essential attributes, a knowledge of the word of God- you need the word of God to dwell in you richly
(see also Colossians 3:16) and you also need strength of conviction.
As these three attributes increase in you, they will make you to become an overcomer of the wicked one.
b) What you need to understand (or have a revelation of):
1. There is in the calendar of God something called the fullness of time.
2. As we enter the fullness of time you need to continue waiting upon God.
3. You need a revelation of the essential attributes of God.
That He is good to you all the time. He is holy, that means He gets it right all the time ( Leviticus 11:44-45; His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:23);
His loving kindness is better than life (Psalms 63:3), He is faithful (1 Thessalonians 5:24; Genesis 28:15; 1 Kings 8:56; Numbers 23:19-20; Isaiah 46:9-11),
He is righteous and He is just (Psalms 89:14). He promises to go before you. He says He will not fail you. (Joshua 1:5; Deuteronomy 31:6, 8;
1 Chronicles 28:20; Psalms 89:33-35).
c) What you need to do: Activities of 2025:
Run with the vision.
Remember we are:
1. Witnessing the love of Jesus Christ and making disciples across the nations. (Matthew 28:18-20). Use every avenue available to you to send the message of the gospel.
2.We are praying and interceding to the God of the harvest to send labourers into the harvest. (Matthew 9:37-38; 1Timothy 2:1-5). Take time to pray.
3. We are faithful stewards of time, the mysteries of God and of substance. (Luke 12:42-44; Luke 16:10-12; 1 Corinthians 4:1-2; 1 Peter 4:10). Prayerfully examine your stewardship of time, mysteries
of God and substance.
4. We are light to the world- dispensing darkness- let your light so shine that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16).
5. We are salt, condiment to the earth to give flavour and fight the unsavoury works of the enemy satan ( Matthew 5:13).
6. We release the fragrance of the knowledge of Jesus Christ - God wants to diffuse through you the fragrance, perfume of the knowledge of Jesus Christ as you allow the fruit of the Holy Spirit to
manifest in your life. ( 2 Corinthians 14-15).
d) In all this remember to have your own personal agenda with God as you stand on His promises.
He says in John 16:24: Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
He says in John 15:7: If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
He says in John 14:13-14:
And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
He also says in John 15:16: You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the
Father in My name He may give you.
Remember, we have been given exceedingly great and precious promises that by these we may be partakers of divine nature. ( 2 Peter 1:4, John 16:24).
In this year of the overcomer, as you run with the vision, remember to have a personal prayer agenda with God.
Keep a prayer diary and tick things off, as He answers your prayers.
We love you as we invite you to be counted among the overcomers of the wicked one in 2025 and beyond.
As you run with the vision, we are praying for you and wish you a 2025 filled with the victory that comes from God.
In the service of Jesus Christ.
Apostle Dr Max and Joyce Matonhodze.
