Title: Cherish your birthright
“Now Jacob cooked a stew; and Esau came in from the field, and he was weary.
And Esau said to Jacob, “Please feed me with that same red stew, for I am weary.”
Therefore his name was called Edom. But Jacob said, “Sell me your birthright as of this day.”
And Esau said, “Look, I am about to die; so what is this birthright to me?”
Then Jacob said, “Swear to me as of this day.”
So he swore to him, and sold his birthright to Jacob.
And Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils;
then he ate and drank, arose, and went his way.
Thus Esau despised his birthright.” Genesis 25:29-34 NKJV.
Point of Reflection:
Your birthright gives you entitlement to inheritance,
blessing and various rights depending on the family to which you were born.
When one receives Jesus Christ as Lord, you are born again and adopted as a child of God
and become a part of God's own household, an heir and a joint heir with Jesus Christ. (See John 1:12-13).
In Christ Jesus there is a purpose and will of Almighty God for you. In Christ Jesus you have a God given mission.
That mission is your birthright in Christ Jesus, cherish it, seek it and be passionate about accomplishing it.
In that mission is the fulness of your blessing, fulfilment and joy.
Your birthright is the God given purpose which no-one else can do better than you.
We must be ready and prepared to deny ourselves and to take up our own cross to follow Jesus Christ. (Matthew 16:24).
In Romans 8:17 His word teaches us "and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ,
if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”
This means for us to benefit fully as heirs of God
and joint heirs with Christ we must be ready to put faith and trust in God,
to believe His word without compromising, to let go certain things,
deny self and seek to do His will rather than our own.
It will mean putting our bodies under subjugation and allowing the will of God to be done.
Esau failed in this respect and sold His birthright for lentil stew.
In so doing, he lost his relevance. When he lost his relevance, he lost everything.
The whole purpose of God for his life was lost.
Subsequently when she realized his mistake,
he wept tears but could not retrieve his birthright. (Hebrews12:16-17, Genesis 27:33-35).
Jacob on the other hand -won a jackpot- He was fully aware of how important this birthright is.
Your birthright in Christ means Almighty God will depend on you to pray the prayer that will cause deliverance of a nation,
the prayer that will cause salvation to souls some of which you will never meet in this life.
It will mean you will witness Jesus Christ and be instrumental to salvation of an apparently insignificant
someone whom one day will be raised by Almighty God to become an Apostle of Jesus Christ.
You will give a seed which one day will be instrumental to huge deliverance of people.
So child of Almighty God do not despise your birthright and the sacrifices that birthright may mean.
Take some time to cry for grace to cherish your birth-right in Christ.
When you are ready-
Prayer of consecration:
Heavenly Father I thank you for salvation in Jesus Christ.
Today I acknowledge the risen Jesus Christ as Lord of my life.
I set myself apart and consecrate myself for you.
I reject, renounce and denounce every working, every influence and every deception
of the enemy satan and his demons upon my life in the name of Jesus Christ.
I ask you Father in the name of Jesus Christ to fill and empower me with your Holy Spirit right now.
I receive, accept and embrace the abundant outpouring of your Spirit upon my life in the name of Jesus Christ.
Thank you for the honour and privilege to be counted worthy to be called a child
of Almighty God and a joint heir with Jesus Christ.
Thank you for the honour and privilege of being depended upon by Almighty God to do service in his kingdom.
Thank you for the honour and privilege to be counted an ambassador of Jesus Christ,
to be counted as lamp that shines in dark places of people with the light of Jesus Christ,
to be counted as one worthy to offer service in the house of Almighty God.
I ask for your outpouring of grace upon my life to see the importance and relevance of my birth-right in Jesus Christ.
Grant me the grace Father to cherish my birth-right.
In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

2025 The Year of the Overcomer.
His word says in 1 John 2:12-14:I write to you, little children,
Because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake.
13 I write to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the wicked one.
I write to you, little children, because you have known the Father.
14 I have written to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning.
I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you,
And you have overcome the wicked one.
To overcome the wicked one you need the word of God to dwell in you richly, you need to know Him who
was from the beginning (to know God) and you need strong conviction regarding His promises to you. These are the three critical attributes of an overcomer.
He also says: Look among the nations and watch—Be utterly astounded!
For I will work a work in your days, which you would not believe, though it were told you (Habakkuk 1:5).
Almighty God wants to work a work in our day, in your day, in the work of the Ministry and in your own life,
which you will not believe even if it is told you. For you to be a part of what He is doing, you need to acquire and grow in the three critical attributes of an overcomer.
He says further:
Then the Lord answered me and said:
“Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:2-3).
He says write the vision and make it plain upon tables that he may run who reads it.
As you enter another phase in your walk with God and as we enter a new phase in our calling as Planet Ministries, remember the vision is for an appointed time.
That time is nigh. Wait for it, it will not be late by one second. Remember Genesis 18:10-14; Genesis 21: 1-2 and Exodus 12:40-41.
a) What you need to know:
We are moving into a period of accomplishing the vision which Almighty God has set before us.
There is in the calendar of God something called the fullness of time.
The vision is for an appointed time and that time is nigh.
You need the knowledge of the Father and His essential attributes, a knowledge of the word of God- you need the word of God to dwell in you richly
(see also Colossians 3:16) and you also need strength of conviction.
As these three attributes increase in you, they will make you to become an overcomer of the wicked one.
b) What you need to understand (or have a revelation of):
1. There is in the calendar of God something called the fullness of time.
2. As we enter the fullness of time you need to continue waiting upon God.
3. You need a revelation of the essential attributes of God.
That He is good to you all the time. He is holy, that means He gets it right all the time ( Leviticus 11:44-45; His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:23);
His loving kindness is better than life (Psalms 63:3), He is faithful (1 Thessalonians 5:24; Genesis 28:15; 1 Kings 8:56; Numbers 23:19-20; Isaiah 46:9-11),
He is righteous and He is just (Psalms 89:14). He promises to go before you. He says He will not fail you. (Joshua 1:5; Deuteronomy 31:6, 8;
1 Chronicles 28:20; Psalms 89:33-35).
c) What you need to do: Activities of 2025:
Run with the vision.
Remember we are:
1. Witnessing the love of Jesus Christ and making disciples across the nations. (Matthew 28:18-20). Use every avenue available to you to send the message of the gospel.
2.We are praying and interceding to the God of the harvest to send labourers into the harvest. (Matthew 9:37-38; 1Timothy 2:1-5). Take time to pray.
3. We are faithful stewards of time, the mysteries of God and of substance. (Luke 12:42-44; Luke 16:10-12; 1 Corinthians 4:1-2; 1 Peter 4:10). Prayerfully examine your stewardship of time, mysteries
of God and substance.
4. We are light to the world- dispensing darkness- let your light so shine that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16).
5. We are salt, condiment to the earth to give flavour and fight the unsavoury works of the enemy satan ( Matthew 5:13).
6. We release the fragrance of the knowledge of Jesus Christ - God wants to diffuse through you the fragrance, perfume of the knowledge of Jesus Christ as you allow the fruit of the Holy Spirit to
manifest in your life. ( 2 Corinthians 14-15).
d) In all this remember to have your own personal agenda with God as you stand on His promises.
He says in John 16:24: Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
He says in John 15:7: If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
He says in John 14:13-14:
And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
He also says in John 15:16: You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the
Father in My name He may give you.
Remember, we have been given exceedingly great and precious promises that by these we may be partakers of divine nature. ( 2 Peter 1:4, John 16:24).
In this year of the overcomer, as you run with the vision, remember to have a personal prayer agenda with God.
Keep a prayer diary and tick things off, as He answers your prayers.
We love you as we invite you to be counted among the overcomers of the wicked one in 2025 and beyond.
As you run with the vision, we are praying for you and wish you a 2025 filled with the victory that comes from God.
