Title: Ask for the Holy Spirit.

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone?

Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish?

Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children,

how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”‭‭ Luke‬ ‭11:9-13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.

Point of Reflection:

After believing on the Lord Jesus Christ and acknowledging Him as Lord of your life, you are made a child of God.

Your sin is forgiven, you are born again or regenerated,

You are adopted into God's household.

You are redeemed by Jesus Christ.

 You are given eternal life.

This is the most privileged position of this life.

The next most significant event or experience anybody could have after that is being filled with the Holy Spirit.

It makes one to function as a child of God with power.

It changed the disciples and apostles of Jesus Christ from being weak, impotent, fearful, and carnal

individuals to being men of strong conviction, fearless, who could demonstrate the power of God with undeniable miracles.

Without the Holy Spirit the church is dead and with Him it is dynamic.

Without Him you are weak, with Him you have strong convictions.

The Holy Spirit activates the word of God within you, making it alive and real,

He guides, He teaches, He gives you the wisdom and counsel of God to apply to situations you encounter.

He gives you utterance. He is the Game Changer.

So then how do you get filled with the Holy Spirit?

First understand the Holy Spirit is given by the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. (John 14:26).

He is the Spirit of Jesus Christ.

So you need to have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Secondly and as equally critical you need to set yourself apart, to consecrate yourself for God.

This is a declaration you make: I am yours Lord with all that I am and with all that I am not, I give my life to you.

In the process you need to reject, renounce and denounce every working and influence of  satan and his demons in your life.

This is the other side of the same coin with consecration.

Renouncing satan and demons prevents you receiving counterfeits spirits of the enemy

which is what Jesus Christ referred to when He said "for bread give a stone", "for fish give a serpent", "for egg give a scorpion".

Scorpions at rest coil up to look like an egg yet they have a venomous sting.

These are things which look like but are not the real thing.

This is also a declaration you make: satan and your demons, I reject you in the name of Jesus Christ, you have nothing in me

and I have nothing in you from today I belong to Jesus Christ.

Thirdly you need to ask for the Holy Spirit with a seeking and knocking faith, desire and passion.

You need to hunger, thirst  and yearn for the Holy Spirit. As His word says in Psalms 42:1-2"As a deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God.

2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?(NKJV)

Let your soul pant for the Holy Spirit as a deer pants for the water brooks.

Thirst after the Holy Spirit.

That is why we read in John 37:37-39: On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Do you desire to be filled with the Holy Spirit?

When you are ready-

Prayer for the Holy Spirit:

Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for redemption through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.

Today I acknowledge the risen Jesus Christ as Lord of my life.

I set myself apart and consecrate myself for you.

I reject, renounce and denounce every working and influence of the enemy satan and his demons upon my life.

I ask you Father in the name of Jesus Christ to fill me with your Holy Spirit right now.

I desire and seek to be filled by your Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.

You say in your word, if we being evil know how to give good gifts to our children,

how much more will you Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to me when I ask you?

I believe multiplied a zillion times over.

I therefore receive the abundant outpouring of your Holy Spirit upon my life in the name of Jesus Christ.

Thank you Father for hearing me.

(At this point allow the Holy Spirit to manifest tongues through your mouth and take time to speak in other tongues).....

I remember my family today and ask you to fill them by your Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.

I remember Planet Ministries and ask for the outpouring of your Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.

I remember your children across Planet Earth and ask for the outpouring of your Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.

Thank you Father for hearing me. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

Year in Focus

2026 The Year of Almighty God's Special Treasure

2026 is the year of Almighty God’s special treasure.

In this year, Almighty God wants you to engage with Him as a person after His own heart who desires to accomplish His purpose, plan and will.

A person who seeks the burden of Almighty God as you pray and intercede, as you witness the love of Jesus Christ through your various platforms

and as you exercise faithful stewardship of your time, of the mysteries of God entrusted to you and of substance.

His word tells us in Psalms 89:19-23:

'Then You spoke in a vision to Your holy one, and said: “I have given help to one who is mighty; I have exalted one chosen from the people.

20 I have found My servant, David; With My holy oil I have anointed him,

21 With whom My hand shall be established; also, My arm shall strengthen him.

22The enemy shall not outwit him, Nor the son of wickedness afflict him (NKJV).

23 I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague those who hate him.'

In 2026 there is help ordained for you from Almighty God. You have been waiting upon God with your heart focused on Him, on establishing His hand on Planet Earth.

Receive the help of God. Let the anointing of the Holy Spirit flow upon your life as you meditate on His word.

What you need to know:

Our Almighty God is a faithful God, that means He is trustworthy, He is dependable and follows things through.

His word tells us:

'He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.' I Thessalonians 5:24.

'Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.' Genesis 28:15 (NKJV).

'Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses. ' 1 Kings 8:56 (NKJV).

Remember:

'God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

20 Behold, I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it.' Numbers 23:19-20 (NKJV).

(see also Isaiah 46:9-11, Isaiah 14:24-27)

What you need to understand and have a revelation of:

There is in the calendar of God something called the fullness of time.

His word tells us:

'Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.

3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.'

Habakkuk 2:2-3 (NKJV).

Remember also:

'Now the sojourn of the children of Israel who lived in Egypt was four hundred and thirty years.

41And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years—on that very same day—it came to pass that all the armies of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt. 'Exodus 12:40-41 (NKJV).

In fact, it was precise to the second- at midnight, at the stroke of midnight first-borns were struck and Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron and said -Go and serve your God.

We read in Galatians 4:4-5:

'But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

5  to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.' (NKJV).

In your life and in the Ministry, you need to wait upon Him, but while you wait be busy doing what needs to be done today.

What you need to do-

a) Keep your eyes on the word of God.

His word tells us:

'Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.' Colossians 3:16 (NKJV).

'Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.' John 8:31-32 (NKJV).

b) Be conscious of the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life.

We read in John 14:15-17 (AMPC):

' If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands.

16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever–

17 The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.'

c) Be in prayer.

His word teaches us:

'Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—

19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, ' Ephesians 6:18-19 (NKJV).

d) Remember your personal prayer agenda with God.

His word teaches us:

'Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”' Luke 18:6-8 (NKJV).

Psalms 91:15 tells us:

'He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.' (NKJV).

Almighty God has promised to answer you as you ask in the name of Jesus Christ.

We love you as we invite you to be counted as Almighty God's special treasure in 2026  and beyond.

As you run with the vision, we are praying for you and wish you a 2026 filled with the victory that comes from God.

Much grace and peace be multiplied to you.

In the service of Jesus Christ.

Apostle Dr Max and Joyce Matonhodze.
