Title : Weapons of our warfare- Part 2: Strength of conviction.
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” Ephesians 6:10 KJV
After understanding that
1. You are at war,
2. That the war is not physical but spiritual, and
3. That you need the armour of God which is a correct understanding of His word.
You need to understand that one of the critical ingredients you need in spiritual warfare is strength of conviction.
Point of Reflection:
The next critical ingredient you need is strength of conviction in the word of God.
You need to have a strong degree of being persuaded in the power of His word and the power of His being.
In other words you need to be completely persuaded not only that Almighty God is able to accomplish His word in your life, but also that He is willing to do it.
For this to happen you need the Holy Spirit to kindle the word inside you, as you meditate upon it.
That is why His word says in Joshua 1:7-8 KJV:
“Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law,
which Moses my servant commanded thee:
turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night,
that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein:
for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
Notice here that you need to meditate on the word- day and night- you need intimacy with the word of God-
that intimacy of the word of God into a Holy Spirit filled life produces strength of conviction which in turn spurs you to action.
It is like pouring the word of God into a Holy Spirit filled life.
It is incubating the word of God, meditating upon it with the Holy Spirit.
His word also says referring to Abraham in Romans 4:20-21 KJV:
He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.”
Abraham being not weak in faith, staggered not, wavered not, was fully persuaded- all these denote strength of conviction.
1 John 2:13-14:
"I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning.
I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one.
I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.
I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning.
I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong,
and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.”
You notice here: you have known the Father, the word of God abides in you,
you are strong (of conviction) and you have overcome the wicked one.
Knowledge of the Father goes hand in hand with strength of conviction and overcoming the wicked one
That is why 1 John 5:4 KJV says: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world:
and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”
Our faith here refers to our strength of conviction about what the word of God says about what Almighty God can do.
Glory be to God forevermore.
The disciples of Jesus Christ had been with Jesus Christ for three and half years,
heard of God directly from Jesus Christ, saw the miracles everyday,
but they still remained fearful, powerless, carnal, full of strife and impotent-
until the day of Pentecost- after being filled with the Holy Spirit, they became bold,
their strength of conviction soared, they started praying for the sick to be healed,
raising the dead, preaching boldly and publicly without fear.
What had happened- the Holy Spirit worked in their lives, activated the word to give strength of conviction about what God can do
- results- miracles started happening and thousands turned to God.
You need to yearn for the power of the Holy Spirit,
desire Him and seek Him as your partner in all you do for God, the Holy Spirit is your partner for victory.
When the Holy Spirit works the word in you the result is unstoppable strength of conviction.
Glory be to God forevermore.
Do you desire to overcome the wicked one through strength of conviction in the word of God and the operation of the Holy Spirit?
You need to meditate upon His word, let the word of Almighty God dwell richly in you in all wisdom (Colossians 3:16)
and let the Holy Spirit fill you and empower you.
This will produce strength of conviction with which everything changes- it spurs you into action,
your character changes, the way you speak will change and you will see results. Glory be to Almighty God.
When you are ready-
Prayer of faith:

Year in Focus
2026 The Year of Almighty God's Special Treasure
2026 is the year of Almighty God’s special treasure.
In this year, Almighty God wants you to engage with Him as a person after His own heart who desires to accomplish His purpose, plan and will.
A person who seeks the burden of Almighty God as you pray and intercede, as you witness the love of Jesus Christ through your various platforms
and as you exercise faithful stewardship of your time, of the mysteries of God entrusted to you and of substance.
His word tells us in Psalms 89:19-23:
'Then You spoke in a vision to Your holy one, and said: “I have given help to one who is mighty; I have exalted one chosen from the people.
20 I have found My servant, David; With My holy oil I have anointed him,
21 With whom My hand shall be established; also, My arm shall strengthen him.
22The enemy shall not outwit him, Nor the son of wickedness afflict him (NKJV).
23 I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague those who hate him.'
In 2026 there is help ordained for you from Almighty God. You have been waiting upon God with your heart focused on Him, on establishing His hand on Planet Earth.
Receive the help of God. Let the anointing of the Holy Spirit flow upon your life as you meditate on His word.
What you need to know:
Our Almighty God is a faithful God, that means He is trustworthy, He is dependable and follows things through.
His word tells us:
'He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.' I Thessalonians 5:24.
'Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.' Genesis 28:15 (NKJV).
'Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses. ' 1 Kings 8:56 (NKJV).
Remember:
'God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
20 Behold, I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it.' Numbers 23:19-20 (NKJV).
(see also Isaiah 46:9-11, Isaiah 14:24-27)
What you need to understand and have a revelation of:
There is in the calendar of God something called the fullness of time.
His word tells us:
'Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.'
Habakkuk 2:2-3 (NKJV).
Remember also:
'Now the sojourn of the children of Israel who lived in Egypt was four hundred and thirty years.
41And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years—on that very same day—it came to pass that all the armies of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt. 'Exodus 12:40-41 (NKJV).
In fact, it was precise to the second- at midnight, at the stroke of midnight first-borns were struck and Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron and said -Go and serve your God.
We read in Galatians 4:4-5:
'But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.' (NKJV).
In your life and in the Ministry, you need to wait upon Him, but while you wait be busy doing what needs to be done today.
What you need to do-
a) Keep your eyes on the word of God.
His word tells us:
'Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.' Colossians 3:16 (NKJV).
'Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.' John 8:31-32 (NKJV).
b) Be conscious of the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life.
We read in John 14:15-17 (AMPC):
' If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands.
16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever–
17 The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.'
c) Be in prayer.
His word teaches us:
'Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, ' Ephesians 6:18-19 (NKJV).
d) Remember your personal prayer agenda with God.
His word teaches us:
'Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”' Luke 18:6-8 (NKJV).
Psalms 91:15 tells us:
'He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.' (NKJV).
Almighty God has promised to answer you as you ask in the name of Jesus Christ.
Much grace and peace be multiplied to you.
In the service of Jesus Christ.
